Our team in Tokyo provides clients operating in the aviation, rail and shipping sectors with in-depth knowledge and unique industry insight, gained from experience of working on all sides of major transactions. Our team is able to draw on support, as required, from our global network to deliver seamless advice on all aspects of legal issues faced by clients in the transportation industry.

In addition, we have a dedicated team of shipping lawyers who advise leading Japan-based and international financial institutions and shipping companies on the full range of cross-border shipping and offshore transactions, including ship financing and other maritime-related investment activities such as loan book acquisitions and maritime contract work, including time charter negotiations. The team also works with our global colleagues to advise on issues arising from ship management documentation, charters, shipbuilding and conversion contracts.
