About me

I joined NRF’s Newcastle Hub at the backend of 2018 as a Junior Web Developer, after completing my MSc in Computer Science. I originally joined the firm in the Innovation team (as it was then) but have since progressed into the Applied Tech team as a Solutions Analyst.

My job role allows me to work very closely with the business side of things such as, client needs, turning business requirements into tech requirements, writing documentation, etc. As well as assisting the other developers with building the client solutions.

I love working with my other colleagues within the Applied Tech team and those across Transform’s multidisciplinary areas as this allows me to learn more about the business and the work we do each day. Collaboration is the key to successful outcomes in a firm this size and I think we do that really well.

From

Originally from Nottingham but in 2017 I swapped the city life for a quieter life by the coast in Northumberland.

Fun fact

I am a massive Disney fan, which resulted in me auditing for a job at Disneyland Paris back in 2016. It’s safe to say from where I am now that University took priority at the time.

Previously

NRF lifer since University but I have previously worked in some retail/customer service roles whilst studying.

Best part of the job

A bit cliché but definitely the people. Each team is filled with people that make coming to work worth-while, well, that teamed with interesting projects!
