London office advises Genesis on acquisition of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Dublin-based aircraft leasing company, Genesis on the sale and leaseback of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft on a purchase and leaseback transaction with Calgary-headquartered WestJet.

Since its inception in 2014, Genesis has expanded its services and now caters for 31 customers in 27 countries globally, boasting a fleet of 42 Airbus and Boeing commercial aircraft.

The transaction which Norton Rose Fulbright advised on is the first between WestJet and Genesis and means that Genesis adds to its growing portfolio with six of the 737-800 aircraft.

The Norton Rose Fulbright team advised Genesis on all aspects of the transaction and was led by London-based Partner Dan Cowdy and Counsel Georgina Field.
