Cross-border real estate finance team advises BNP Paribas on mortgage financing for Blaak 16, Rotterdam

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised BNP Paribas on the refinancing of the office accommodations of approximately 14,500m² located at Blaak 16 in Rotterdam.

Blaak 16 is situated in Rotterdam’s central business district and operates as a state-of-the-art, sustainable workspace facility. The multi-tenant office building offers 11 storeys of premium, professional amenities and currently houses several market-leading companies as long-term tenants.

The building’s owner, Blue Horizon Investors, has successfully arranged a refinancing agreement with BNP Paribas for a new senior facility, acquiring full ownership of the plot of land with aims to further enhance the building’s strategic ESG proficiency and overall sustainability.

The cross-border Norton Rose Fulbright team advising on the deal was co-led by banking and finance Partner and Head of Middle East, Mohammed Paracha and banking and finance Counsel in Amsterdam Jasper Dijkshoorn, who said:
