Biography

Dan Harman is a corporate lawyer based in London.

He focuses on cross-border and domestic M&A, joint ventures, private equity/venture capital investments, corporate restructurings and general corporate and commercial transactions in the technology and financial services sectors.   • Global Partnership for Ethiopia B.V. on the International Finance Corporation's equity investment ($157.4m) and loan ($100m) to support the ongoing construction and operation of Safaricom Ethiopia PLC's greenfield telecommunications network in Ethiopia.
  • Safaricom Ethiopia PLC and Global Partnership for Ethiopia B.V. on the continued roll out of its greenfield network in Ethiopia, including certain shareholder and governance arrangements.
  • Coveo Inc. on its acquisition of Qubit Digital Ltd, a leader in AI-powered personalisation technology for merchandising teams.
  • Aquiline and Lloyd's of London insurer ERS on a $350m fundraise to enable ERS to expand its strategy to underwrite specialty (re)insurance business.
  • The Web 3.0 Technologies Foundation on its Initial Coin Offering to fund the Polkadot protocol.
  • VAKT Global (a blockchain-based digital platform used to manage physical energy transactions from trade entry to final settlement) as well as its shareholders (a consortium of leading international commodity traders, banks and energy firms) on various fundraisings and shareholder arrangements. 
  • A multinational company on a number of its strategic minority investments in the technology and sustainability sectors.
  • A Middle Eastern sovereign wealth fund on its £800m investment into CityFibre, a UK wholesale full fibre platform, as part of a £1.125bn equity and debt financing.
  • A global insurer on the strategic disposal of a telematics and connected car business.
  • A consortium of international banks on the commercial issues arising from the development of the Trade Information Network, an electronic platform used to transmit and receive verified purchase orders and invoices between suppliers and the purchaser's banks.
