Biography

Andrew Battisson is an international arbitration lawyer who practices globally. He specializes in international commercial arbitration, investor-state arbitration and related enforcement and transnational litigation.  He acts as counsel to a range of clients in arbitrations under all the major arbitral rules. Andrew also sits as arbitrator in disputes involving a wide variety of parties, laws and industry sectors.

He is an active member of the international arbitration community. He is an ACICA Fellow, an Australian delegate to the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, a member of the ICC Australia Nominations Committee and serves on the SIAC Users Council. Andrew acts as a mentor to members of the Young Institute for Transnational Arbitration.

Andrew has acted in disputes under both national laws and international law worldwide across a wide range of industry sectors.

Andrew holds degrees in Law (1st class) and Commerce from the Australian National University and holds a masters in law from the University of Oxford, for which he received a Chevening Scholarship and Oxford – Australia Scholarship.  He is admitted in Australia and is a registered foreign lawyer in Singapore.
