Biography

Radford Goodman is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London, specialising in insolvency and restructuring litigation. He acts principally for banks, insolvency practitioners, funds, trade creditors and directors and his cases frequently involve complex cross-border insolvency issues.  

Radford frequently advises on acceleration of facilities and the enforcement of security by lenders following a borrower default; fraud and international asset tracing; misconduct claims against former directors and officers; claw-back claims (including recovery of dividends, undervalued transactions and preferences); enforcement of guarantees; freezing orders and disclosure orders; termination of contracts upon insolvency; enforcement of retention of title rights on behalf of suppliers; disputes concerning ownership of property; rights of set-off; recognition of insolvency office-holders appointed outside of the UK; insolvency jurisdiction issues; and the duties, powers and liabilities of liquidators and company administrators.

Radford has been a guest lecturer on corporate insolvency at University College London and is a contributor to The Law of Administrators and Receivers of Companies by Lightman & Moss. He served on the editorial committee of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals'(INSOL) electronic newsletter and has spoken at, and chaired, seminars on insolvency litigation hosted by the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).

In Chambers and Partners UK 2013 he is described as having "excellent analytical abilities" and benefiting from "a deep understanding of complex financial products". In Chambers and Partners UK 2012 he is praised for being "capable of handling a range of work without exception or issue". The Legal 500 UK 2012 describes him as "an expert in the insolvency arena".
