Welcome to MLN
MLN (Minority Lawyers Network) is a network of minority lawyers at Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP dedicated to supporting the social and professional development of minority lawyers at the firm and supporting the firm’s general diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

The chair of MLN is Daniel Prati (Houston).
Our objectives
- creating a more inclusive and accepting environment for minority lawyers
- creating a strong community of minority lawyers in the firm’s offices
- providing guidance to firm management on the development and implementation of minority inclusive policies
- encouraging the recruitment, retention, advancement and professional development of minority lawyers
- developing relationships and partnerships with clients and other organizations engaged in the advancement of minority lawyers
- providing opportunities to participate in pro bono and outreach programs that support the minority community
Initiatives and activities
Our initiatives and activities focus on promoting our mission and objectives in several key areas, including:
Social and professional development
- holding quarterly meetings of the membership to create opportunities for minority lawyers in each office to get to know each other, hold individual or panel presentations on issues of interest to minority lawyers and elicit the membership’s views on issues of importance to minority lawyers through candid roundtable discussions
- organizing regular, small-scale social events to provide meaningful opportunities for minority lawyers to network and establish relationships with selected management and partners at the firm
- holding semi-annual meetings of minority partners to raise and discuss issues of importance to minority partners at the firm
Recruiting
- focusing on aggressively recruiting top minority talent through on-campus interviews and participation in minority job fairs
- organizing firm-wide diversity presentations to summer associates
- organizing affinity events to build long-term relationships between minority summer associates and minority lawyers
Community outreach
- partnering with clients and local organizations to provide pro bono services for underserved minority communities in the cities where we work
- participating in and sponsoring initiatives and activities of minority bar associations and other organizations
