Privacy networking roundtable

Event Details

August 14, 2019 | 16:00 - 19:00 PT | Mountain View, CA

The IAPP and the California Lawyers Association invite you to join the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) for a roundtable discussion on the Draft Privacy Framework. Naomi Lefkovitz, Senior Privacy Policy Advisor and Lead for the Privacy Framework will lead the discussion. NIST is developing this voluntary framework, in collaboration with private and public sector stakeholders, to help organizations: better identify, assess, manage, and communicate privacy risks; foster the development of innovative approaches to protecting individuals' privacy; and increase trust in products and services.

This will be a panel presentation, followed by a networking reception to allow privacy professionals in Silicon Valley to discuss off-the-record the practical impact new and emerging laws, regs, and standards have on how to design and implement the privacy framework for organizations, including how to incorporate CCPA implementation into the privacy framework, the latest CCPA amendments, and the draft AG rules.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals is the largest and most comprehensive global information privacy community and resource. Founded in 2000, the IAPP is a not-for-profit organization that helps define, support and improve the privacy profession. More information about the IAPP is available at
