Norton Rose Fulbright appoints Daryl Lansdale as Co-Vice Chair in the US

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced the appointment of M&A and securities partner Daryl Lansdale as its Co-Vice Chair in the US. The firm’s immediate past US Managing Partner, Lansdale will provide counsel on management issues, particularly in the development of our Business Practice Group.

During his tenure as US Managing Partner, Lansdale oversaw the 2017 combination of Norton Rose Fulbright and Chadbourne & Parke. Before being elected US Managing Partner, Lansdale served as the firm’s US Head of Business Practice.

In his corporate practice, Lansdale focuses on mergers and acquisitions, public and private financings as well as public company reporting and governance matters. He represents private equity firms and public companies as well as family and founder-owned businesses and family offices, assisting them with acquisitions and divestitures, investing and fund formation activities, succession planning and complex governance matters.

Lansdale, who leads the firm’s Central Texas corporate practice while officing in Austin and San Antonio, said:

Last year, Lansdale handled approximately $5 billion of M&A transactions and financings. Over the last few years, he advised BDT Capital in the acquisition of Whataburger, counselled a San Antonio Spurs consortium of selling investors to Sixth Street and Michael Dell and represented Waddell & Reed Financial, Inc. in its acquisition by Macquarie Group and LPL Financial, Inc.

Licensed in Texas, Lansdale earned his JD from Southern Methodist University School of Law and his BBA from the University of Texas.
