Ubiquitous computing: Privacy and the use of wearables and biometrics

Event Details

Event

London | March 20, 2019

The collection of data from wearables and connected devices is a key part of many organisations’ strategy to assess risks and spot opportunities in relation to their customer or employee base. Increasingly, companies are also collecting biometric data for these purposes and also looking at how biometric technology can drive efficiencies and improve security in their businesses. Both of these technologies give rise to interesting privacy issues.

We hope that you can join us at this breakfast briefing, where we will examine

  • Some of the use cases for wearables and biometrics.
  • The law and guidance in relation to the use of this technology and the compliance measures companies should be taking.
  • Specific issues to be considered where the technology is used to monitor employees.

Breakfast and registration will open at 08:30 – the seminar will begin at 09:00.
