The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) has published updated guidance on encryption of data.
The guidance sets out how to comply with data protection requirements when using encryption and is aimed at data protection officers and those with specific data protection responsibilities.
Where encryption is being used to protect member data, schemes should follow the guidance.
