Norton Rose Fulbright announces new Houston office leadership

United States Press release - Firm June 2022

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announced Kevin O’Gorman as the Partner-in-Charge of its Houston office and Carter Dugan as its Administrative Partner. O’Gorman succeeds Carter Crow, who was recently appointed the firm’s new Global Head of Employment and Labor.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Houston location ranks among the city’s top-five largest law firm offices in both total and lawyer headcount with approximately 500 people, including more than 175 lawyers. The firm’s lawyers advise clients on litigation, transaction and intellectual property matters locally and globally across key sectors such as energy, financial institutions, life sciences and healthcare, technology, transport and consumer markets.

Jeff Cody, Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Managing Partner, said:

“Our firm is proud to have contributed to the growth of business in Houston for more than a century. Kevin and Carter are natural leaders who will enhance our Houston office, help its clients and support the overall community.”

With deep roots in Texas, O’Gorman is recognized globally as a leading international disputes lawyer. He has handled arbitrations under the major international and domestic arbitration rules and serves as the firm’s US Head of Arbitration.

O’Gorman, who previously served as the office’s Administrative Partner, said:

“The people in our Houston office reflect the talent and diversity of this thriving city. I look forward to working with Carter and my colleagues in our continued goal of providing unsurpassed service and innovative solutions to our clients.”

Dugan handles a wide range of complex commercial and energy litigation matters in state and federal courts across the country. She represents clients in matters including enforcing contractual and property rights, disputes involving fraud and error and disputes alleging professional negligence.

Dugan, who previously served on the firm’s Associate Evaluation Committee and, as a mother of three young children, is a pioneer, champion and beneficiary of the firm’s flexible work program, said:

“The strong Houston market continues to offer exciting opportunities to our lawyers and our firm. I will collaborate with Kevin to foster our firm’s special culture with this impressive group of lawyers and business services professionals.”

Norton Rose Fulbright’s Houston office is located at 1301 McKinney Ave. and will move to 1550 Lamar St., adjacent to Discovery Green, upon completion of a new office tower in 2024.
