On Friday, September 25, Rodney Acker (Dallas) started his term as the 70th president of The American College of Trial Lawyers (ACTL), which is considered among the premier professional organizations of US and Canadian trial lawyers.

He was inducted as President at the ACTL 2020 Annual Meeting and 70th Anniversary Celebration. At the meeting, more than 650 Fellows from North America gathered virtually to induct 96 new Fellows and discuss issues important to the organization.

An invitation-only membership, the ACTL selects those demonstrating only the highest standards of trial advocacy, ethical conduct, integrity, professionalism and collegiality.

Acker, who is consistently recognized by Chambers and Partners and Legal 500, stated:

"It is a great honor to be elected and to serve as President of the College. I look forward to working with Fellows on initiatives to uphold the administration of justice, increasing Fellow engagement, and mentoring young lawyers."
