Shauna Johnson Clark named to Tulane Law School Hall of Fame

Norton Rose Fulbright US Chair and Head of Employment and Labor Shauna Johnson Clark has been named to her alma mater's hall of fame at Tulane Law School.

Clark was selected by an alumni committee, in consultation with the dean, because of her distinguished professional achievements and enduring dedication to the mission and students of Tulane Law School. She was one of seven 2023 honorees who were inducted into the Hall of Fame on Friday, May 12 at a luncheon and ceremony before family and friends.

Nationally recognized in labor and employment law, Clark is a trusted advisor to clients in a wide variety of industries, from energy and utility entities to healthcare and consumer products providers to banking and finance.

Joining the firm after her graduation in 1994, Clark rose to partnership and has held several leadership positions within the firm. She served as Partner-in-Charge of the firm's Houston office from 2011 until 2013 before she assumed the role of US Head of Employment and Labor. In 2020, Clark became the first woman of color to serve as Norton Rose Fulbright's Global Chair and US Chair, spearheading the firm's Global Charitable Initiative of fighting racism and championing social justice. At the time of her appointment, she was the sole woman of color to chair an AmLaw 200 firm. Clark has served on the firm's Global Executive Committee, the US Management Committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee and the Racial Equality Council.

Clark was recently named the recipient of the 2022 Karen H. Susman Jurisprudence Award by the Anti-Defamation League's (ADL) Southwest Region, recognizing her exemplary civic leadership and dedication to the ideals of equality and justice. She has also been recognized by Chambers USA, Benchmark Litigation, Lawdragon, Best Lawyers, Super Lawyers and more.
