Norton Rose Fulbright strengthens banking and finance team in South Africa

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has announced the appointment of Patrick Colegrave, as director in the Johannesburg office.

Patrick will join the banking and finance team. He is an English-qualified solicitor, also admitted as a solicitor in in the Eastern Caribbean and attorney in the Cayman Islands. He brings international and local experience spanning in-house counsel and private practice. He has extensive experience advising clients in Africa on inbound investments through a wide range of investment structures and vehicles ranging from private equity to permanent capital vehicles to more liquid open-ended hedge fund arrangements.

Patrick’s addition to the practice follows the recent appointment of Jackie Midlane as the Practice Group Leader for banking and finance at Norton Rose Fulbright South Africa. The Firm’s Africa-wide banking & finance and projects & energy team is ranked in Band 1 by Chambers Global 2018 and Tier 1 by Legal 500.
