Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright today announces that David Marshall has joined as a partner in London.
David joins the firm from Reynolds Porter Chamberlain where he was a partner. David has over fifteen years’ experience of advising clients on UK and cross-border private equity and venture capital transactions with a focus on acquisitions, disposals, buyouts, investments and joint ventures. He advises a wide range of clients including private equity and venture capital houses, family offices and management teams across all major industry sectors and asset classes. He has been recognised for his work in private equity in the latest editions of Chambers and Legal 500 guides to leading lawyers.
Raj Karia, Norton Rose Fulbright Head of Corporate, M&A and Securities for Europe, Middle East and Asia, said: “Private equity and venture capital plays a hugely important role in corporate M&A and our private equity team is an integral part of our global corporate practice. David brings with him extensive UK and cross-border private equity and venture capital expertise which will complement our successful and growing private equity team.”
David said: “Norton Rose Fulbright has a platform that spans the globe, a track record in complex, cross-border M&A and private equity, and leading teams in associated areas such as regulation. The firm advises private equity houses and companies at all stages of the investment cycle and combines this with in-depth sector expertise. Sector expertise differentiates Norton Rose Fulbright from other firms which focus on the private equity space. Private equity clients value the sector insight as it gives them added value which in turn differentiates them in front of investors, investee companies and management teams. This is an exciting opportunity for me and I look forward to working with the team and building upon its successes.”
