Norton Rose Fulbright represents Cordelio and BrightNight in US$650 million solar project financing

Norton Rose Fulbright represented a joint venture of Cordelio Power LP and BrightNight US LLC, as borrower and developer, on a US$440 million debt financing and US$210 million tax equity financing of the 300-MW Box Canyon utility-scale solar project in Pinal County, Arizona.

The tax equity financing closed on October 5. The debt closed on May 2, 2024.   

The Box Canyon solar project will produce enough electricity to power 77,000 Arizona homes and businesses annually with clean, reliable and affordable energy, offsetting approximately 600 metric tons of CO2 emissions every hour.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s deal team was led by Todd Alexander (New York), Keith Martin (Washington, DC) and Connie Gao (Los Angeles) and also included Dylan Gera (Los Angeles), Danielle Donofrio (New York), Sol Kwon (Washington, DC) and Evan Allen (Washington, DC).
