Norton Rose Fulbright rocks the stage in Singapore to win charity rock competition

Recognition November 2, 2016

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright rocked the stage to take 1st place in the second annual “Law Rocks! Singapore” on October 14th 2016.

The event raised approximately SGD11,000 in total for Arc Children’s Centre, a charity day centre for children with cancer or other life-threatening illnesses.

Norton Rose Fulbright’s winning rock band, The NeRFs, battled against Baker & McKenzie (the Unbillables), K&L Gates (Soundfield) and Rajah & Tann (Illegals).

The NeRFs played a range of rock covers including Adele’s Rolling in the Deep, All the Small Things by Blink 182 and the seminal Simon and Garfunkel classic, Bridge over Troubled Water.

Law Rocks! promotes music education for underprivileged youth and raises funds for local nonprofit organisations. By combining the power of music and the generosity of the global legal community, Law Rocks! turns legal professionals into rock stars for the night as they compete in epic battle of the band fundraising concerts in cities across the globe.

Members of The NeRFs included Michael Kim, Nicky Davies, Guy Spooner, Samuel Leong, Victor Katheyas, and Richard Steenhof from Norton Rose Fulbright. Under the rules of the competition, one band member can be from another firm. Beelee Seah from Linklaters was the “ringer” for The NeRFs.
