Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Hamburg Trust on the acquisition of a new office building and an office complex of five individual buildings in Hürth near Cologne. The total of 14,000 m² of lettable space has been acquired for Hamburg Trust’s open-ended special fund "HT Office Top 30 Invest".
The new building, which was completed in April, comprises around 6,800 m², and is fully let on a long-term basis to the information service provider Wolters Kluwer Deutschland.
The open-ended special fund "HT Office Top 30 Invest" is an individual fund mandate of a German insurance company. It invests in German and Austrian locations in medium-sized and large cities with populations of 100,000 or more that show positive demographic and economic trends as well as in sought-after locations within the top seven cities. The fund was launched in 2018 by Hamburg Trust KVG.
The Norton Rose Fulbright team was led by partner Dr. Hendrik Theismann (real estate, Frankfurt). He was supported by Counsel Michael Mehler, Associate Daniela Kowalsky (all real estate, Frankfurt). Partner Martin Krause and associate Andreas Loeck advised on investment law and partner Tino Duttiné on tax.
