United States Press release - People November 2, 2022

US Head of Arbitration Kevin O'Gorman has been appointed as a member of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Commission on Arbitration and ADR, the organization's leading think tank and rule-making body for international arbitration and dispute resolution.

Kevin, who also serves as our Houston office Partner-in-Charge, said:

"I look forward to working with other members of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR as well as its steering committee in the interest of efficient and cost-effective dispute resolution worldwide."

The ICC's US National Committee—the United States Council for International Business (USCIB)/ICC USA—appointed Kevin to the Commission and to his continuing role as Chair of the Southern Subcommittee of ICC USA. Kevin succeeds Global Head of Arbitration Mark Baker, who served on the ICC Commission for five terms and previously chaired the Southern Subcommittee.

The ICC is the largest business organization in the world with more than 45 million members spanning all sectors in more than 100 countries. Kevin previously served as a US member of the ICC Taskforce on Resolving Climate Change Related Disputes in Arbitration.

Lawyers, in-house counsel, arbitrators, mediators, law professors and leaders in various dispute resolution fields comprise the truly global membership of the ICC Commission. The commission collaborates with the ICC Court and the ICC Centre for ADR to draft and revise the ICC's range of rules for arbitration and dispute resolution.
