United States Press release - Recognition May 2024

International Financial Law Review (IFLR) named Norton Rose Fulbright’s US Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Katherine Tapley (San Antonio) as “Diversity Champion” at its 2024 Americas Awards.

Katherine has been instrumental in the development and expansion of several key initiatives since being named US Chief of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in 2021, including the firm's sponsorship programs and diversity networks. In this role, Katherine works with the firm's US Management Committee to further develop strategies to attract, retain and promote people from a range of backgrounds.

Katherine maintains an active practice in complex commercial real estate transactions, with an emphasis on the financing and development of multi-family projects, healthcare facilities, entertainment venues and other commercial real estate across multiple jurisdictions.

Now in its 25th year, the annual Americas Awards celebrate the most innovative cross-border deals closed in 2023, the lawyers behind them and individual awards in specialty categories. Winners are selected by IFLR’s editorial team following an open nomination period and an in-depth research process. Honorees were recognized at an award ceremony on May 15 in New York City.
