Austin lawyer appointed to Texas’ Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response

Texas Governor Greg Abbott recently appointed Patrick O'Daniel (Austin) to serve on the Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response.

As part of the task force, O'Daniel will be among those providing evidence-based assessments, protocols and recommendations related to state responses to infectious diseases and serving as a source of information and education for Texas leadership and citizens.

The task force is comprised of professionals from a wide array of respected organizations, companies and institutions. It includes physicians, professors, public health experts and leaders in the healthcare industry. O'Daniel and his colleagues will assess and enhance the state's capabilities to prepare and respond to the current and potential future pandemics.

O'Daniel is a tax and corporate lawyer who advises his clients on a wide variety of international and domestic issues concerning the formation, operation, acquisition, merger, combination, liquidation and disposition of partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations, as well as various funding structures. He also serves as the chair of the Texas Board of Criminal Justice.
