Chadbourne Will Combine with Norton Rose Fulbright

On Tuesday, February 21, 2017, Chadbourne and Norton Rose Fulbright announced their intention to join together to create a global legal powerhouse. The announcement of the combination was extensively covered by the press, including dozens of articles in the US, UK, Europe and Asia. According to trade publication IJGlobal, the newly formed “behemoth would be the most active law firm in the infrastructure and energy sector in terms of deal volume.” The Wall Street Journal noted that the “Chadbourne-Norton Rose deal is one of the most significant in the legal industry” and Reuters noted that it creates “a firm of some 4,000 lawyers with offices in 32 countries.”
