Norton Rose Fulbright advises Warburg-HIH on real estate transaction

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright advised Warburg-HIH on the sale of the Süderstrasse 63 office building in Hamburg's City-Süd district to Deka Immobilien. The tenant of the 9,950 m² building is the Bundesanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben (BIMA). A fund company of the HIH Group has held the building since its completion in 1999.

Warburg-HIH is an independent international investment manager for real estate and currently manages properties worth 8.2 billion euros. The Hamburg-based company has positioned itself as a specialist for pan-European real estate investments. Warburg-HIH Invest manages the purchase of real estate and its contribution to fund solutions for around 150 institutional customers.

Warburg-HIH received comprehensive legal and tax advice on the transaction from Norton Rose Fulbright's team in Frankfurt specialising in real estate transactions led by Dr. Hendrik Theismann (real estate). The team further comprised partner Tino Duttiné (tax), of counsel Michael Mehler and associate Daniela Kowalsky (both real estate).
