Governor names Austin lawyer to chair the Texas Pension Review Board

Texas Governor Greg Abbott named Stephanie Leibe (Austin) as chair of the Texas Pension Review Board.
The Texas Pension Review Board is an independent state agency tasked with overseeing and reviewing state and local government retirement systems in Texas. The governor appoints seven members who have knowledge on specified areas related to retirement systems. Leibe fills the slot allotted to a person with experience in government finance.
Leibe focuses her practice on public finance matters. She serves as bond counsel for state agencies and local political subdivisions and underwriter’s counsel for investment banking firms and banks. She also served 12 years as an Assistant Attorney General with the Public Finance Division of the Texas Attorney General’s Office, including five years as Chief of the Public Finance Division.
