Norton Rose Fulbright advises Senvion on offshore agreement for Trianel Windpark Borkum II

Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has advised Senvion, a leading global manufacturer of onshore and offshore wind turbines, on the supply agreement to provide the offshore wind turbines and the service and maintenance agreement for Trianel Windkraftwerk Borkum II GmbH & Co KG (TWB II). The offshore wind farm will consist of 32 turbines and will have an installed capacity of approximately 203 megawatts (MW) on completion, expected in late 2019.

The TWB II will be located 45 kilometers north of Borkum island in the German North Sea and is the second phase to of the existing Trianel Windpark Borkum, which began operating in September 2015. The 32 turbines will be installed at in a water depth of 25 to 35 meters and will produce approximately 800 million kilowatt-hours of electricity every year, and will supply around 210.000 households annually.

A final investment decision for Trianel Wind Farm Borkum II is expected in the first half of 2017, construction will commence in early 2018.
