Norton Rose Fulbright advises AmTrust on purchase of 100% stake in Nationale Borg

Global legal practice Norton Rose Fulbright has advised AmTrust Financial Services, Inc. on the purchase of a 100% stake in N.V. Nationale Borg-Maatschappij (“Nationale Borg”) from HAL and Egeria.

Nationale Borg is a specialty provider of surety and trade credit insurance. In 2014, Nationale Borg generated €91 million in gross written premium. The transaction will result in a capital gain for HAL of approximately €25 million when completed.

The deal is subject to the approval of regulatory authorities compliance with Works Councils Act rules. The transaction is expected to close by the end of 2015.
