Biography
William Sing has counseled clients on general business and real estate related transactions and financing for many years. Located in the Houston office, his practice includes representing various clients that are participants in business and real estate transactions, including construction and permanent lenders, borrowers, developers, contractors and subcontractors, landlords and tenants, and architects and other design professionals.
Mr. Sing has experience in sales, lease and acquisition of business assets, and in the negotiation of financial and security documentation. He also has experience in real estate acquisitions and dispositions; cogeneration development and project finance; reorganization, workouts and foreclosures; and credit problems related to secured transactions.
As a member of the real property practice group, Mr. Sing represents clients on real estate, energy and structured finance transactions involving infrastructure projects, including electric power plants and pipelines. He also assists the bankruptcy group, serving as a resource for clients in Chapter 11 proceedings on matters such as disposing of excess assets.

While in law school, William Sing was an editor of the Houston Law Review. Mr. Sing's recent significant projects include representation of:
- A national banking association for many years in the acquisition and disposition of retail branch banking sites, the leasing of ATM sites, and the leasing of retail and office space
- Hospital system on various real estate transactions including the disposition of large acreage tracts to developers in Brazoria, Fort Bend and Harris counties
- Agricultural business in acquiring over 10,000 acres of farm and ranch lands in Austin, Fort Bend and Waller Counties, Texas, and in connection with a tree farm, a grass farm, a water company, a hunting club, and horse and cattle operations
- Waste management clients and private developers in structuring, developing and financing landfill gas-electric power projects throughout the United States, and in the acquisition and disposition of landfill gas pipelines and related facilities
- A university for many years on a wide range of issues, including abandoning streets, acquiring additional properties and negotiating with architects and contractors for the design and construction of various campus buildings; and as the university's attorney representative and member of the National Association of College and University Attorneys
- A national self-storage corporation and its affliliates as Texas counsel in the financing of storage facilities through the issuance of mortgage-backed securities
