Russell C. Trice is a Partner in the Los Angeles Office.  He has worked on more than $30 billion aggregate principal amount of municipal, nonprofit and private activity bond financings. Russ serves as bond counsel, disclosure counsel, underwriter's counsel, borrower's counsel and bank counsel in connection with the issuance of many types of obligations, including the following:

  • general obligation bonds;
  • revenue bonds;
  • commercial paper;
  • certificates of participation and lease revenue bonds;
  • tax and revenue anticipation notes;
  • tax allocation bonds;
  • empowerment zone bonds;
  • community facility district bonds; and
  • various loan arrangements.

Russ has substantial experience in connection with 501(c)(3) organizations, including financings for housing, schools, museums and other charitable organizations. He also has substantial experience serving as special counsel to domestic and foreign banks providing liquidity and credit support for municipal and nonprofit financings.

While in law school, Russ served as Managing Editor of the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas. He subsequently served as assistant to the chairman for a Chapter 19 dispute resolution panel for the North American Free Trade Agreement and as research attorney for the Honorable Charles W. McCoy, Jr. of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
