Biography
Nandini Rao is a Counsel based in Norton Rose Fulbright's New York office. She focuses her practice on employment and labor counseling and dispute resolution. She routinely works with a broad range of clients, including those in the technology, gaming, retail, and financial service sectors.
Nandini advises clients throughout the U.S., including in New York and California, on all aspects of employment law, including hiring, terminations, discrimination, harassment, COVID-19 considerations, contractor matters, wage and hour compliance, accommodations, and other employee-related matters. She assists clients in developing policies and practices to help minimize employment liability risks. She also has experience advising on labor and employment issues in the context of mergers and acquisitions, including conducting due diligence and preparing employment documents post-acquisition.
Nandini works closely with in-house counsel, Human Resources executives, and opposing counsel to negotiate resolution of employment claims and disputes. She regularly represents clients in federal and state courts with respect to claims of age, race, sex, national origin, disability, and other forms of discrimination, including sexual harassment. She also represents clients in connection with breaches of employment agreements, including enforcement of non-competition, non-disclosure, and non-solicitation provisions, and with respect to wage and hour matters. Nandini also has experience representing clients in accessibility cases under the Americans with Disabilities Act, including lawsuits relating to website accessibility.
Nandini is admitted to practice in the U.S. District Courts for the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York.
