Radford Goodman is a dispute resolution lawyer based in London, specialising in insolvency, banking and fraud litigation. His practice focuses on the recovery of value for out-of-pocket lenders/creditors, whether through direct enforcement actions or via an insolvency process. He acts principally for lenders, insolvency office-holders, funds, trade suppliers and directors and his cases frequently involve complex cross-border issues. Radford often works closely with lawyers in our global restructuring team and off-shore law firms.
Radford's experience includes advising on: the acceleration of facilities by lenders following default; fraud and international asset tracing; misconduct claims against former directors and officers; claw-back claims (including recovery of dividends, undervalued transactions and preferences); economic torts; enforcement of proprietary security and guarantees; freezing orders and disclosure orders; termination of contracts following breach, default or insolvency; enforcement of retention of title rights on behalf of unpaid trade suppliers; disputes concerning property ownership within an insolvent estate; set-offs; recognition of insolvency office-holders appointed outside of the UK; insolvency jurisdiction issues; and the duties, powers and liabilities of liquidators and company administrators.
Radford has been a guest lecturer on corporate insolvency at University College London and is a contributor to The Law of Administrators and Receivers of Companies by Lightman & Moss. He served on the editorial committee of the International Association of Restructuring, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Professionals'(INSOL) electronic newsletter and has spoken at, and chaired, seminars on insolvency litigation hosted by the Association of Business Recovery Professionals (R3).
Radford has published articles in Insolvency and Restructuring International, INSOL World, Butterworth's Journal of International Banking and Financial Law, Corporate Rescue and Insolvency and Recovery. Radford is a member of the Insolvency Lawyers' Association, INSOL Europe and R3.
