Biography
Samuel Leong is a dispute resolution lawyer based in Singapore. His practice involves advising and representing clients in cross-border disputes and international arbitrations. Samuel also regularly advises clients, particularly clients with operations in Southeast Asia, on regulatory and compliance-related matters. Samuel has acted for clients in relation to the conduct of both internal and external investigations, including investigations arising from action taken by governmental enforcement agencies, whistle-blower reports and counterparty risk reviews.
Prior to joining us, Samuel was Counsel at the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), where he assisted the Registrar and Deputy Registrar of SIAC in the administration of over 250 arbitrations. These include arbitral proceedings conducted under the SIAC Rules, UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules, ICC Rules of Arbitration as well as Emergency Arbitrator applications.
Samuel graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur and a Master of Laws from Columbia University School of Law, New York. Samuel is admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in Malaysia.
