Biography

Daniel Marschollek, M.B.L.-HSG is a dispute resolution lawyer based in Frankfurt and Munich. Daniel’s practice focuses on complex trademarks, design, copyrights, unfair competition litigation as well as on trademark/industrial design prosecution, and IP-related issues of cartel law. He has represented leading blue-chip clients from the sports, luxury goods, telecommunications, automotive and pharmaceuticals industries. Recently Daniel was successful securing a landmark decision from the German Federal Supreme Court (I ZR 52/10 – Converse I) in a series of litigation pending against one of Germany’s largest retail chains and their suppliers.

Daniel has been recommended for trademark and unfair competition law in the JUVE Handbook Commercial Law Firms since 2003 and lauded by clients for providing "sophisticated and constructive advice in complex matters“. Chambers ranks him in Band 4 for trade mark and unfair competition, both globally as well as for Europe. WTR1000 ranks him as one of the world's leading trademark professionals and as a familiar sight at the Federal Court of Justice. Daniel Marschollek was recently selected by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers™ in Germany 2019 in the field of Intellectual Property Law in Germany.

He studied at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University and then at the University of St. Gallen (Master of European and International Business Law). Daniel is a member of the academic advisory committee for post-graduate studies (Executive Master of European and International Business Law) and holds a lectureship for IP litigation. Before joining us, Daniel was a partner in other international law firms.

A German native speaker, Daniel is fluent in English, French, and Polish.
