Lady Africa Sheppard is a corporate lawyer based in the London office after several years of practice in our Montreal office.  Her practice covers all aspects of corporate and commercial law, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions and securities matters (including both private placements and public financings of equity and debt). Ms. Sheppard has advised public and private companies on a broad range of domestic and cross-border acquisitions and disposals and financings, as well as general corporate law matters. She also works with a number of companies on corporate governance matters. In addition, Ms. Sheppard was previously the firm's Canadian alternative resourcing lead and looked at ways of innovating and working differently within the firm.

Since joining the practice, Ms. Sheppard has worked at our Montreal and London offices. Previously, she worked in London for a start-up in the payment services industry and concentrated on European and Asian legal and regulatory questions and on worldwide business and partnership development.
