Biography

In over 40 years of dispute-related activities, Everett Bunnell has been extensively involved in a wide range of litigation matters, including the defence of aboriginal law claims, a variety of insurance related matters, the defence of professional malpractice claims, environmental issues, and various aspects of resource development, focused particularly on oil and gas.

Mr. Bunnell was appointed a QC in 1988 and in 2001 became a Calgary-based partner in the firm of Macleod Dixon LLP, a predecessor to Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP.

He was for several years a sessional lecturer at the University of Alberta Law School before becoming the part-time alternative chair of the Public Service Employee Relations Board of Alberta. He continued to practise as a partner in the Edmonton and then Calgary offices of a well-known Albertan law firm.
