Tatum is a technology lawyer based in Johannesburg. Having joined the technology department in 2016, she focusses on technology, privacy, and media.
Tatum has experience in advising and presenting on privacy and cybercrime laws in South Africa and drafting software and information technology services agreements.
She obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal in 2011, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor of Civil Law masters degree from the University of Oxford, United Kingdom in 2013, with distinction, where she mastered in Competition Law, Intellectual Property Law, Corporate and Business Taxation, and Criminal Justice and Human Rights. She also clerked at the Constitutional Court, under Justice Froneman, in 2012 and worked for Justice Wallis of the Supreme Court of Appeal at the University of KwaZulu-Natal for a semester.
