Ksenia Orlova is a banking and finance lawyer who is a consultant with our London office. Ksenia specialises in general banking and international finance, property finance and acquisition finance. She joined our banking department in 2001. Prior to joining the practice, Ksenia worked for seven years as a consultant in Russian law at a leading UK legal practice.
Ksenia qualified as a Russian lawyer in 1993. She was the first Russian lawyer registered with the Law Society of England and Wales as a sole practitioner. She has received a master's degree in business law and has undertaken the CPE and the LPC exams. Ksenia qualified as an English solicitor in 2001 and now specialises in general banking, international finance, property finance and acquisition finance.
Ksenia is bilingual in English and Russian.
Ksenia has spoken at seminars and conferences relating to Russian security and bankruptcy laws.
Ksenia has written a number of articles including: “Russian Law of Pledge and Mortgage: Does it Favour a Major Creditor?” published in International Bar Association Eastern European Forum Newsletter and a number of articles on Russian law and the law of Kazakhstan for "Prospects".
