Magdalene Lie is an intellectual property and technology lawyer based across our London and Singapore offices.

Magdalene advises on technology transactions involving procurement and outsourcing; internet and e-commerce; media and communications; mobile payments and artificial intelligence. She has particular expertise in advising clients on complex cross-border data protection matters, having worked in both our London and Singapore offices to prepare clients for the rollout of at the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). 

Magdalene also has experience in contentious and non-contentious IP matters involving trade marks, domain names, design rights, patents, copyright and confidential information. She has assisted clients with managing, protecting and commercialising their portfolios and advised on assignment, licensing and franchising arrangements.

Magdalene graduated from the National University of Singapore on a Global Merit Scholarship and was placed on the Dean's List (2008). Prior to joining the firm, Magdalene practised at a top-tier local firm specialising in intellectual property and technology.
