Michael is an employment and labour lawyer based in Sandton, Johannesburg. 

He works closely with all of the employment and labour directors in the Johannesburg office and has been involved in a number of disputes ranging from disciplinary hearings, to arbitrations and complex employment litigation, as well as investigations.

Apart from his involvement in dispute resolution, Michael often assists in servicing clients on the regulatory and advisory aspects of employment law. Often, this includes reviewing or drafting contracts, policies and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with legislative changes. Michael has successfully assisted a number of clients with complex large scale restructurings. In addition, he has also presented a number of training sessions for clients on topics ranging from how to initiate a disciplinary hearing to managing a large scale dismissal for operational requirements.

Michael obtained a BCom Law degree and a LLB (cum laude) degree from Nelson Mandela University and having spent a significant part of his articles in the employment and labour team, was retained in the team at the beginning of 2021.
