Shanin Lott is responsible for setting Norton Rose Fulbright's strategy to recruit and develop legal and business professionals in Canada. She oversees people operations functions across six offices, ensuring that they support the firm's business objectives and contribute to shaping an engaging and inclusive workplace.
Shanin spent more than a decade managing legal talent at a global Canadian business law firm. She previously practised litigation for seven years in New York City and Toronto, acting in complex corporate commercial and securities matters.
Shanin has experience across a broad range of law firm management functions, including talent management/HR, learning & development, marketing, brand & communications, legal operations and legal practice. Shanin received Lexpert's Zenith Award for Workplace Human Rights in 2014 and placed among the Profiles in Diversity Journal's "Women Worth Watching" in 2013. She is a frequent speaker in Canada and the U.S. on topics ranging from talent management, diversity and inclusion, design thinking and unconscious bias.
Shanin also serves on the Advisory Board for Young Women in Law and on the CivicAction Mental Health in the Workplace Champions Council.
