Scott McCabe is a shipping lawyer focused on the shipping and offshore oil and gas sectors. He assists ship owners, energy companies and banks with drafting and negotiating commercial shipping agreements, including shipbuilding contracts, long term charterparties, MoAs and transhipment agreements.  He also has a broad range of experience in acting for borrowers and banks in financing ships and offshore units, using project and asset-backed financing structures.

Scott also advises on the legal, commercial and environmental risks of owning and operating ships, including pollution risks. He has acted for banks in a number of asset recovery and ship arrest matters.

Scott is a Master Mariner with over 16 years of sea service on tankers and FPSOs. He has a special interest in ship safety and the regulation of ships and offshore structures.
