Biography

Kimberly Jeffers practises commercial and corporate law, with a focus on matters related to life sciences and healthcare and privacy. She advises clients on managing personal health information and related issues. She has extensive experience drafting and negotiating agreements on behalf of public health institutions, researchers and companies operating in healthcare or life sciences. She has advised on numerous mergers and acquisitions in the health and life sciences sector.

Kimberly routinely counsels pharmaceutical and life sciences companies and other organizations on regulatory issues, and she has developed internal policies to ensure alignment with evolving legal and regulatory standards and industry best practices. Her regulatory practice extends beyond health care and life sciences to a variety of areas, ranging from consumer protection, to inter-governmental contract requirements, to French language requirements. She has developed a strong interest in artificial intelligence.

In addition, Kimberly has assisted clients in navigating public procurement matters, including obtaining an authorization to contract delivered by the Autorité des marchés publics and advising on the application of Quebec's Act respecting contracting by public bodies.

Prior to joining us, Kimberly was a litigation lawyer at a New York law firm, where she represented banking institutions, telecommunications companies, pharmaceutical companies and airlines with civil and commercial disputes, arbitrations and governmental investigations in competition law and securities law. She also worked on high-yield bond offerings for a London-based law firm.
