Philip is a banking and finance lawyer based in London. He is part of our energy, mining and natural resources group, focusing on the mining sector and the battery metals value chain in particular.

Philip advises sponsors and lenders on the development and financing of complex mining, energy and infrastructure projects globally. He represents clients on a range of financing structures, including debt and equity financings, prepayment facilities, and royalty and streaming, and he advises on intercreditor arrangements in relation to multi-source transactions.

Philip has extensive experience in the commodities sector, having previously been Executive Director and Counsel at Goldman Sachs where he advised the commodities sales and trading desk on all aspects of commodity financing solutions, physical sales and purchases and commodity derivatives.
