Biography
Jennie Han is an associate in our litigation and disputes group in Calgary. Her practice encompasses a wide range of commercial litigation, including tax, audit, and administrative law matters. She has acted for individual, class, and corporate clients in trial, appeal, and judicial review proceedings before the Court of King’s Bench and Court of Appeal in Alberta, the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as in arbitrations and mediations.
Jennie completed the CPA In-Depth Tax Course (Levels I, II & III) in 2024.

- Deans Knight Income Corp. – on an appeal of a tax reassessment on the basis of the general anti-avoidance rule to the Supreme Court of Canada
- CNOOC Petroleum North America ULC – on a 2-month trial of a claim of breach of a commercial lease arising from defective construction materials
- MEG Energy Corp. – on a judicial review of Alberta’s audits of allowable costs in calculating Crown royalties
- Commercial Arbitration (confidential) – defending a major Western Canadian gas processing entity in a contract dispute involving third-party fees owing for the use of its plant facilities.
- Pro bono counsel for the intervenor in an appeal to the Alberta Court of Appeal of a vexatious litigant order against a self-represented litigant
