Matthew Quintieri
Biography
Matthew Quintieri's practice focuses on procuring, closing, and delivering construction and infrastructure projects, including through public-private partnerships (PPP/P3), collaborative contracting models, and traditional contracting models. He advises on high-value and complex matters throughout every stage of the project lifecycle—from inception to operations—including claims and disputes that arise during implementation. He has experience advising on projects throughout Canada and the United States.
Matthew's experience spans projects across several asset classes, including healthcare facilities, transit projects, highway projects, correctional facilities, courthouses, educational facilities, energy projects, industrial projects, mining projects and residential projects.
Matthew's prior work experience includes serving as in-house counsel at Infrastructure Ontario, where he advised on several projects in Ontario. In that role, he developed a deep understanding of the problem points, commercial considerations, and practical realities associated with major project delivery. While in law school, Matthew was elected to serve as an editor-in-chief of the Ottawa Law Review.

Healthcare Facilities
- University of California, San Francisco – Proton Therapy Facility. Advised the University of California, San Francisco on a P3 transaction involving a lease/lease-back arrangement to develop a 300,000-gsf clinical building adjacent to the UCSF Mission Bay Hospitals campus site, including a state-of-the-art oncology treatment facility with next-generation proton beam therapy, incubator laboratories to facilitate innovations in life sciences, and multi-specialty clinical space.

- Counsel to the Province of Nova Scotia on the Queen Elizabeth II - Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project (DBFM – C$7.4 billion)

- Counsel to Infrastructure Ontario on the Highway 427 Expansion Project (DBFM – C$616 million)
Correctional Facilities
- Counsel to Infrastructure Ontario on the Thunder Bay Correctional Complex Project (DBFM – C$1.2 billion)
Energy
- Counsel to BC Hydro on various aspects of the C$16 billion Site C Clean Energy Project
- Counsel to a non-owner party in connection with the Darlington Small Modular Reactor Project

- Counsel to the Board of Education of School District No. 23 on the George Pringle Secondary School Project (design-build, C$105 million)
Mining
- Counsel to a public mining company in connection with several projects, including a multi-billion-dollar facility in Latin America
