Milana Chamberlain is a corporate finance lawyer and a senior member of Norton Rose Fulbright Business Ethics and Anti-Corruption group based in London.
Milana was the managing partner of the Prague office of Norton Rose Fulbright from 2006 to 2014. Since her return to London Milana has been concentrating on risk advisory and, in particular, business and human rights agenda. Currently she is leading the global Norton Rose Fulbright's Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiative comprising the business and human rights agenda and advising clients on reporting obligations and issues arising under the UK Modern Slavery Act, the Non-Financial Reporting Directive, human rights in supply chains, environmental and social aspects of project finance transactions, collective action, Labour Standards Assurance Scheme and other challenges faced by businesses in relation to human rights in their operations. She advises clients across a wide spectrum of industries including shipping, financial services, life sciences and infrastructure, mining and commodities.
Milana has been a member of a working group conducting a research project on business and human rights due diligence run jointly by the British Institute of International and Comparative Law (BIICL) and Norton Rose Fulbright http://human-rights-due-diligence.nortonrosefulbright.online/.
She also worked with a global team of Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers and BIICL researchers on a specialized human rights due diligence in supply chains project which was launched on 17 May 2018.
Milana is a member of the Human Rights Law Committee of the International Bar Association.
