Biography

Nadine Tawdy is a litigation associate building a civil and commercial litigation practice with a focus on contract and commercial disputes, appellate advocacy and public law. She has experience representing clients in contract disputes, class actions, securities litigation, administrative law and healthcare litigation, and appeared and assisted on matters at all levels of court in Ontario. She has courtroom experience, including representing clients at trials, motions, and appeals. She previously worked at a large national law firm from 2021 to 2024.

While in law school, Nadine competed in the national bilingual Laskin Moot and received an award for 4th place best oralist. Her interest in the impact of artificial intelligence on litigation and e-commerce law also allowed her to receive the McCarthy Tétrault Technology Law award in 2020. In addition to academic work, Nadine volunteered at the University of Ottawa community legal clinic and the Samuelson Glushko Canadian Internet Policy and Public Interest Clinic - Canada’s first and only public interest technology law clinic. She also routinely volunteers with Pro Bono Ontario and her pro bono commitment led her to receive the first Richard Wagner Access to Justice award in 2019.

Nadine continues her involvement in the legal community as a member of the Ontario Bar Association Young Lawyers Division (Central) and she sits on the Ontario Bar Association Official Languages Committee, which promotes equal access to justice in French.

She proudly serves clients both in English and French.
