Global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright has acted for the sponsors (CWP and Partners Group) on all aspects of the development, construction and financing of the 135MW Crudine Ridge Wind Farm near Mudgee, NSW.

Crudine Ridge Wind Farm has been developed by leading renewables developer, CWP Renewables in conjunction with Partners Group; under their newly formed Grassroots Renewable Energy Platform. The project will be constructed by a consortium of GE and Zenviron. The debt financing has been provided by Clean Energy Finance Corporation, SMBC and Westpac.

Our role included advising on all project documents in connection with the project, including construction and O&M contracts with GE and Zenviron, connection agreements with Transgrid and a PPA with Meridian Energy. In addition, we also advised on various environmental, planning and consents matters, land arrangements with over 20 landholders and the provision of equity and debt financing.

Norton Rose Fulbright partner Jo Crew led the cross-practice project team and commented:

“We are pleased to have worked with CWP and Partners Group on delivering yet another bench-mark setting renewables project, having advised the same sponsors in 2016 on the 270MW Sapphire wind project..”

The firm’s Australian team comprised of Jo Crew (Partner) in Melbourne, with assistance from Michael McKee (Partner), Mark Waddell (Partner), Noni Shannon (Partner), Raymond Lou (Partner), Kelly Davies (Senior Consultant), Joanna Taylor (Special Counsel), Simone Alphonse (Special Counsel), Victoria McGrath (Special Counsel), Claire Whitney (Senior Associate), Celia Boyle (Senior Associate), Duncan Webber (Senior Associate), Jacqueline Fetchet (Associate), Andy Johnston (Associate), Eddie Coleman (Graduate), Suzanne Yap (Graduate).
