Biography

Diana Lopez-Lira is an associate with experience working on public-private partnership (P3) projects for public agencies, with a particular focus on social infrastructure and higher education and medical facilities.  In addition to her work with our Infrastructure practice group, she is also a key member of our Commercial Real Estate practice group and frequently collaborates with our Projects Real Estate team.

Her practice covers various aspects of commercial real estate, including the representation of banks, institutional investors, borrowers, purchasers, and sellers in complex real property and financing matters. She has experience with acquisitions and dispositions across a variety of sectors, including title review and analysis. Her work regularly involves P3 project agreements, real property purchase and sale agreements, real estate secured loans, construction loans, and other transaction documents involving a wide variety of industries and asset classes. Diana brings a detail-oriented and solutions-driven approach to each transaction, ensuring efficient and strategic outcomes for her clients.

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) – Proton Therapy Facility. Currently advising the University of California, San Francisco on a P3 transaction involving a lease/lease-back arrangement using a 501(c )(3) non-profit entity to develop a 300,000-gsf clinical building adjacent to the UCSF Mission Bay Hospitals campus site, including a state-of-the-art oncology treatment facility with next-generation proton beam therapy, incubator laboratories to facilitate innovations in life sciences, and multi-specialty clinical space. 

University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) – Fee Development. Currently advising the University of California, San Francisco in the development of template Fee Development Contracting Mode documents.
